ABOUT
ME
Hi there! Welcome....
..to the space where you learn too much about me but also the reason why I am obsessed with design, specifically UI/UX.
[tl;dr,
As a designer located in Beaverton, OR, I bring over a decade of experience in marketing, design and various administrative support roles. My expertise lies in creating accessible, user-focused experiences that empower businesses to thrive while collaborating with stakeholders to uphold the integrity of their original vision.]
During college I moved around a lot and studied various subjects from business finance to psychology to biology to drafting and design. I discovered I enjoyed crafting, design, problem solving, helping others and working with numbers.
Over the past two decades, I’ve gained experience across marketing, graphic design, various administrative support roles, childcare, game testing, quality assurance, and even professional gift wrapping. While I enjoyed these roles, I struggled to find one that fully encapsulated all of my interests.
During the 2020 shutdown I had a lot of time to think about pursuing a career with a meaningful impact. Initially studying JavaScript with the goal to teach kids how to code, my journey took a turn when I stumbled upon Google’s UX course.
Entering the world of UI/UX felt like discovering a parallel universe that aligned with all of my interests. It is everything I’ve enjoyed about previous roles– creating intuitive platforms that simplify workflows, using visual elements to enhance user experiences, and better understanding users through usability testing.
